Sunnyhill is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that delivers life-changing services that transform communities. It was founded in 1978 by eighteen families who wanted to provide their children diagnosed with disabilities with a camp experience. The founding families worked tirelessly to secure funding, housing, and activities for future generations under the guidance of Monsignor Behrmann. Today, our dedicated team of over 400 staff members is one of the largest locally based service providers in Jefferson County, St. Charles County, and Greater St. Louis Metro. We strive to fulfill our mission by providing person-centered services.

Nestled in the heart of Jefferson County, Adventures Camp promotes cultivation, conservation, and recreation. The camp provides an immersive experience in the rich biodiversity of rural Missouri, offering an ideal setting for outdoor activities and educational programs. Visitors can connect with nature while learning about local wildlife, native plants, and sustainable practices.

Our logo features a radiant sunrise over one of the camp’s original structures in Dittmer, symbolizing our enduring commitment to individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities. Sunnyhill is proud to continue this legacy and help transform communities by lighting the path to empowered living.
