Your Recipe Can Make a Difference:

Did you know that 38% of individuals diagnosed with disabilities are affected by obesity, a rate over 10% higher than those without diagnoses?

This statistic underscores the urgent need for initiatives that promote nutritious eating habits and active lifestyles within this community. Programs like ISLA and Pre-ISLA play a crucial role in addressing this health risk, equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge to make healthier choices, including preparing nutritious meals at home.

Your culinary expertise goes beyond the kitchen; it holds the power to change lives. We invite you to share a recipe inspired by Misty's story that is easy to follow and promotes nutritious eating. By sharing your recipe, you'll not only promote healthier habits but also encourage others to embark on their culinary journeys. Together, we can empower more individuals and mitigate the risk of obesity in our community.
