2025 Camp Information

SUNNYHILL ADVENTURES CAMP Programming takes places at Sunnyhill Adventures, our organization’s founding location in Dittmer, MO. Our 65-acre campground offers experiences celebrating conservation, cultivation, and recreation for people diagnosed with developmental disabilities. The summer camp experience offers nine weeks of themed summer programming, seasonal mini-camps, and overnight accommodations. With adaptive activities and a “Challenge by Choice” principle, campers gain self-reliance and enriching experiences. The camp is available to individuals within peer agencies and natural homes.

SUNNYHILL ADVENTURES TRAVEL offers monthly weekend road trips to popular destinations, providing a fun social experience and promoting self-sufficiency through cultural exploration. Adults engage in personal growth, skill development, and community engagement with trip chaperones provided. This program is available to individuals within peer agencies and natural homes.

  • Yes, there is assistance available. While Sunnyhill Adventures does not offer scholarship funding, campers may qualify for a voucher through the Recreation Council of Greater St Louis. Campers in St. Louis can apply for funding through the Recreation Council of Greater St Louis by clicking above link or visiting https://recreationcouncil.org/applications/.

Percy’s love for music and the camp’s supportive atmosphere resonated in every moment, making saying goodbye challenging. By the second week, he seamlessly merged into the camp’s community, forming meaningful connections and crafting a kaleidoscope of cherished memories.

Noah’s Sunnyhill Adventures experience was a celebration of triumphs. He extended his stays through three visits, culminating in an empowering overnight experience. Among the varied activities, the zipline emerged as a symbol of personal victory. Noah’s steadfast commitment to surpassing his “Challenge by Choice” goals and embracing new adventures is a testament to the spirit of resilience.
